Kia Ora Room 19.

Kia Ora Room 19.

I hope everyone had a nice holiday, are well rested and ready for Term Three.

Sorry I couldn't be with you at the start of the term. I had a lovely time in Rarotonga with the family. However, on the last day something wasn't quite right. I had a sore back and knee and felt terrible. I managed to make it home and by the same night, I was in hospital.  I had a mystery tropical bug in my system.

I spent a week in hospital. I am at home now and on the road to recovery. I look forward to seeing everyone as soon as possible.

THANK YOU for the wonderful card and mini cards inside. They really did make me feel better while in hospital.

I hope you are working hard; please stay focused on achievement and be the best you can be!

I want to hear from you so please e-mail me:
How was your holiday? Where did you go? What did you do?
What are you doing in class; what are you learning?
What are you doing for enrichment and winter sport and how are they going?

Also, sorry but I am not going to let you get away without homework so below is a list of things I would like you to do.

·      First priority, set your goals for the term. This is really important, as they will be discussed at parent conferences.
·      E-mail to Mr Eames as above.
·      Mathletics.
·      Continue to read each night. Complete a review in your Literacy Folder.
·      Find a short story to read. E-mail me when you have read it with your comments on what you liked about it.
·      Update your website including goals.

If you don't get a chance at home, make time in the school day.

Wednesday 14 August and Thursday 15 August we will be holding three-way learning conferences involving you and your parents. The purpose of this conference is to review learning goals.

By the end of the week a link will go out for parents to book their Student-led Conferences.  Please remind your parents to make an appointment time.

Thanks and I hope to see you soon,

Mr Eames.
