Techniques for Campaigning

Advertisers use a range of techniques when trying to influence us to buy their product. These same techniques are also used in a variety of campaigns to make influence us to believe the campaign.

The seven main techniques are: Bandwagon, Scapegoating, Lessor of two evils, Down with the kids, Assertion and Omission.

Students looked closely at a few campaign clips (visual language and making links to our inquiry) then identified a range of techniques and strategies used with in each campaign.
